Teenagers Ziad and Ramzi have been best friends since childhood and are the top players on the basketball team of Al-Amari refugee camp near Ramallah. Following an incident leaving Ramzi shot to death in an exchange of fire, Ziad innocently ends up in solitary confinement in an Israeli prison. 15 years later, Ziad (Ziad Bakri) is released and celebrated as a hero of the resistance. However, finding no way around the new reality, he begins to feel like a fraud and increasingly loses control. Plagued by hallucinations and outbursts of anger, he sees himself trapped between two women and two paths. In his feature film debut, Jarbawi processed his own experiences as a photographer in Al-Amari during the 2nd Intifada.
