Unnoticed by her family, which is shortly closing an important business deal securing their social status, young Sofia finds herself in labor. She concealed the pregnancy even from herself, and only her cousin Lena is by her side for the inevitable masking of the truth, for adultery is punishable by imprisonment under Moroccan law. Before the scandal becomes public and threatens the reputation of Sofia’s family, the father of the baby has to be found and convinced into marriage.
