In the immediate aftermath of their father\u2019s sudden passing, sisters Mariam and Nora must devise an elaborate scheme to get their hands on the money he left behind before their brother can stake his legal claim to it.<\/p>\n
The ensuing events,equal parts humorous and heartbreaking, foreground the severe gender inequality inscribed in inheritance law, and in Palestinian society at large.<\/p>\n
