My Father’s Scent

When an elderly, ailing father meets his young son on the eve of Eid, we find ourselves confronted with a toxic and turbulent relationship, a complex tapestry woven with violence, love, and hate. Alexandria, in director Mohamed Siam’s feature film, unfolds as a cold and dark world, a fragment of a half-remembered dream, where we follow the journey of a father and son, a journey that oscillates between revenge and reconciliation.

The film won the Best Actor award for its leading actor, Ahmed Malek, at El Gouna Film Festival and was also screened at the Red Sea Film Festival 2026. (HF)
