When Khaled (Khaled Abol Naga) returns to his hometown Alexandria after years abroad, he realizes that everything has changed. He is unable to reconnect with an old love, nor can he build a relationship with his aging father. Struggling with himself and his thoughts, he wanders around the city and comes across the subcultural art and music scene: graffiti, hip-hop, rock, street art… Fascinated, he immerses himself in this world and begins actively supporting the artists. These new impulses increasingly influence him and his own life – change seems inevitable. Shot before the outbreak of the revolution, the film paints a fascinatingly realistic picture of the city’s cultural energy.
